Tectonic Interactive, along with Channel 4, Endemol and Chunk, are finalists for the 2015 Broadcast Digital Awards for “Best App”.
The app for the world’s first truly interactive show, “The Singer Takes It All” has been short-listed for this years Broadcast Digital Awards. Results will be announced on 24th June 2015.
Tectonic Interactive provided the technology which managed live interaction from 100,000s of viewers via the app.
Using the app, the home audience determined the outcome of contestants as they sang live – contestants were propelled forward towards the gold zone or ejected backwards in response to their popularity.
The new entertainment format launched with a record 15% of the audience interacting live with the show. Channel 4 multiplatform commissioner for entertainment Jody Smith described The Singer Takes It All’s app as the commercial broadcaster’s “most successful launch”.
