Fremantle Chief Predicts Boom For In-App Voting

The X Factor digital chief Peter Cassidy has predicted that apps will play an increasingly important role in paid-for voting for TV shows after a bumper series.

The Fremantle Media UK managing director of interactive declined to reveal how many votes were cast via its iOS app, but said they accounted for more than 10% of the total received.
